James H. Bayse - Attorney & Principal

James Bayse earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley. He continued his academic pursuits and received his Juris Doctorate from Whittier College School of Law in Los Angeles, where he was a member of Moot Court Honors Board, Phi Alpha Delta, and a Teaching Assistant for first year law students in Research and Writing Skills. Mr. Bayse completed an externship with William J. Lasarow, Presiding Judge of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Central District of California, in 1984.

James is a member of the State Bar of California, the American Bar Association,and the Sacramento County Bar Association. He is admitted to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California, and is a Judge Pro Tem for the Superior Court of Sacramento County. Following law school, Mr. Bayse joined another attorney in starting a real estate title insurance company in Pensacola, Florida and was instrumental in growing the firm throughout the state of Florida. After returning to California, he joined a law firm with offices throughout the state, and became office manager for their Sacramento office.

In 1995 Mr. Bayse became a partner at Miller & Bayse, which was formerly the Law Office of David J.Miller. In 1996 the firm became the Law Office of James H. Bayse after his partner left to become President of a pharmaceutical wholesale company in southern California. In his spare time James enjoys golf, cycling, travel, and scuba diving. He is a Professional Association of Diving Instructors certified diver.
